Job Summary
To lead its Center for Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research (CALDER), the full-time Managing Director will oversee strategic direction, build partnerships with policymakers, and manage large research projects while working remotely or from various U.S. office locations.
Key responsibilities
- Set and oversee the strategic direction of CALDER to influence K-12 education policy decisions
- Lead efforts to develop new business, including grant proposals and relationship-building with funders
- Design and manage large research projects while mentoring staff in research design and execution
Required qualifications
- PhD in economics, education, sociology, psychology, or a relevant field with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
- National reputation for research and evaluation expertise in education policy, evidenced through publications and presentations
- Demonstrated knowledge of K-12 education policy and experience overseeing diverse research methodologies
- Strong partnerships and extensive networks within education research, policy, and practice
- Proven track record of winning competitive contracts and grants from various funders
