Managing Director of Finance

Job Summary

Overseeing the finance and operations department, the full-time Managing Director of Finance will ensure financial health and operational efficiency in a remote setting while driving Village Capital's financial strategy and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting, compliance, and the preparation of financial statements and projections for decision-making
• Oversee budgeting, audits, and tax compliance processes, ensuring timely completion and minimal findings
• Build and supervise a high-performing finance team to operationalize financial strategy and support investment management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
• 7-10+ years of financial management experience, particularly in organizations with diversified revenue streams
• 2-3 years in a senior managerial role with experience supervising teams and third-party providers
• Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and investment management
• Proven ability to build and implement efficient financial systems that integrate operations and reporting
