Managing Director of Operating Model Design

Job Summary

Leading operating model and organizational design engagements, the full-time Managing Director of Operating Model Design will oversee diagnostics, centralization of shared services, and SG&A optimization in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operating model diagnostics, including organizational design and decision rights mapping
• Collaborate with management teams to centralize shared services and evaluate outsourcing ROI
• Design and implement SG&A optimization structures and support change management efforts

Required Qualifications

• 10-15+ years in strategy consulting, preferably with MBB or Strategy& experience in operating model/org design
• Proven track record in leading organizational restructuring with measurable SG&A outcomes
• Experience with PE-backed companies, particularly in carve-outs and post-merger integration
• Strong quantitative modeling skills related to cost-to-serve and span-of-control
• Executive presence to lead sensitive organizational design discussions with C-suite and boards
