Job Summary

A company is looking for a Managing Editor for a contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Editing content end-to-end, evaluating against client goals, performing copy editing, and managing revisions
• Educating on project goals, brand knowledge, and content objectives
• Communicating with contributors, resolving revisions, and executing editorial strategy

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of developmental editing and content strategy experience
• Experience managing freelancers or external content production roles
• Expert knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style and Associated Press Stylebook
• Completion of an editing test (30 min max)
