Job Summary
Managing Editor and Production Coordinator is a full-time, salaried position responsible for overseeing the editing and production of various titles, managing editorial tasks, and supervising staff and freelancers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage editorial and production tasks for journals and books, ensuring scholarly standards are met
- Supervise graduate assistants and freelancers, providing editorial guidelines and reviewing work
- Coordinate with authors and journal editors to maintain schedules and ensure timely publication
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS degree required
- Minimum of two years of relevant publishing experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Familiarity with scholarly writing and publishing practices
- Demonstrated supervisory skills and proofreading ability
