Mandarin Chinese Transcriber

Job Summary

To support the development of talk-to-text technology, the contracted Mandarin Chinese Transcriber will work remotely to accurately transcribe audio files according to client-specific guidelines, ensuring high-quality and timely outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe a variety of audio files while adhering to client-specific Written Domain conventions (WDCs)
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of client guidelines and apply them to transcription tasks
• Produce high-quality work and report any technical issues or transcription concerns to the Division Services Manager

Required qualifications

• Native-level (C2) proficiency in Mandarin Chinese Traditional, including reading and writing skills
• Excellent grammar, orthography, and punctuation; assessment required
• Possession of an Upwork profile or willingness to create one
• High-speed internet access and personal computer required
• Access to email for communication purposes
