Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mandarin Interpreter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately relay oral information between speakers of two different languages in consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation modes
• Facilitate effective communication between parties that do not speak the same language
• Act as a cultural and linguistic resource to contribute to successful outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• Possess native fluency in English and Mandarin
• Strong cultural awareness and ability to intervene as an intercultural mediator
• Excellent interpreting skills, including setting the tone of encounters and diffusing conflicts
• Understanding and adherence to ethical codes and standards of practice for interpreters
• Ability to work well under pressure, handle unpredictable changes, and demonstrate attention to detail
