Manga and Manhwa Editor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Editor focusing on manga and manhwa (and other comics in translation) to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire and edit approximately 12+ kids and YA graphic novels a year
• Collaborate with licensed and internal partners to approve each stage of a project
• Recruit, hire, and manage freelance editors, translators, and proofreaders

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of publishing experience in editorial for a kids comic or manga publisher
• Knowledge of and passion for Japanese and Korean comics
• Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and follow up
• Excellent writing and copywriting skills
• Confident presentation skills
