Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance cost efficiency in manufacturing processes, the full-time Supply Chain Cost Manufacturing Engineer will create detailed cost models for commercial aircraft parts, analyze manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities, and lead supplier development initiatives, with the option to work fully remote or hybrid if local to Petaling Jaya, MY.

Key responsibilities

• Create accurate parametric and deterministic cost models for machined aircraft parts
• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiencies
• Lead cross-site supplier development efforts and participate in sourcing new business into the supply chain

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/operations or engineering, or a related field with demonstrated technical skills
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Quality with hands-on exposure to advanced manufacturing methods
• Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and cost management
• Comprehensive understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and complex manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and material specifications
