Job Summary
Owning the engineering side of new program introduction, the full-time remote NPI/Manufacturing Engineer will manage the transition from prototype to production, overseeing design-for-manufacture reviews, first-article inspection planning, and configuration control.
Key responsibilities
- Own the NPI funnel from RFQ to production, serving as the technical owner on every program
- Develop and implement First Article Inspection processes and qualification protocols for parts moving to production
- Enforce rigorous configuration and revision control, ensuring alignment between design, supplier, and production outputs
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering, NPI, or production engineering experience
- Experience running a complete NPI program from DFM through PPAP/FAI to ramp-up
- Proficiency in configuration control and revision management
- Deep understanding of FAI, control plans, inspection plans, and quality protocols (AS9102 / PPAP / ISIR)
- Exposure to multiple manufacturing processes including CNC machining, sheet metal, and injection molding
