Manufacturing NPI Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the engineering side of new-program introduction, the full-time Manufacturing NPI Engineer will manage the NPI funnel from RFQ to production, enforce quality protocols, and ensure configuration control, all while working remotely in the US.
Key responsibilities
- Lead structured DFM reviews and define processes for transitioning from prototype to production tooling
- Develop and oversee First Article Inspection and qualification protocols, including authoring control and inspection plans
- Maintain rigorous configuration control and manage engineering relationships with manufacturing partners
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering, NPI, or production engineering experience
- Experience running a full NPI program from DFM through PPAP/FAI to volume ramp
- Proficiency in configuration control and revision management
- Fluency in FAI, control plans, inspection plans, and quality protocols (AS9102/PPAP/ISIR)
- Exposure to multiple manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, sheet metal, and injection molding
