Manufacturing Strategy Director

Job Summary

Leading the design of Advanced Optics' manufacturing system, the full-time salaried Manufacturing Strategy Director will define future manufacturing capabilities, network design, and strategic partnerships while operating remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy over a 3-5 year horizon
• Translate business strategy into actionable plans for manufacturing footprint, capacity planning, and cost transformation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence key decisions and drive operational excellence

Required qualifications

• 10-15+ years of experience in manufacturing strategy, operations strategy, or related fields
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; MBA or master's degree preferred
• Proven experience in a highly matrixed organization with successful cross-functional influence
• Experience in evolving manufacturing strategies for growing, low-volume, high-complexity businesses
• Strong financial modeling skills, including capital analysis and return metrics
