Mapper Trainee

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mapper Trainee to progress through an on-the-job training program focused on mapping skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn to obtain and utilize knowledge of legal descriptions and property documents for mapping
• Research and interpret public records documents and apply Fund standards for title plant mapping
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate information is posted into the title plant

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred experience in a production environment demonstrating the ability to learn job tasks
• Preferred knowledge of ArcGIS or Computer Assisted Drawing (CAD)
• Preferred familiarity with public records, property documents, and legal descriptions
• Preferred knowledge of the Public Land Survey System and cadastral maps/surveys
