MariaDB DBA Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled MariaDB DBA/Technical Architect on a remote contract basis, the candidate will design, configure, and optimize a distributed multi-site MariaDB instance to support an on-premises ServiceNow implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize MariaDB installations across multiple environments, including architecture, design, and maintenance
• Configure and maintain database replication to ensure performance and high availability
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ServiceNow administrators to align database utilization with application needs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 3-5+ years of MariaDB development or technical consulting experience
• Strong understanding of InnoDB internals and transaction behavior
• Practical experience with performance tuning, high-availability, and database scaling architecture
• Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash) for automation
