Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled MariaDB DBA/Technical Architect for a remote contract position responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing a distributed multi-site MariaDB instance to support an on-premises ServiceNow implementation.

Key responsibilities

Maintain and optimize MariaDB installations across multiple environments, including architecture, design, and configuration
Configure and maintain database replication to ensure performance and high availability
Collaborate with ServiceNow administrators and stakeholders to align database use with business needs and lead technical workshops

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
3-5+ years of MariaDB development or technical consulting experience
Strong understanding of InnoDB internals and transaction behavior
Experience with performance tuning, high-availability, replication, and database scaling architecture
Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash) for automation
