Market Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of a comprehensive Market Data Platform, the full-time Market Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data ingestion and storage systems, focusing on high-performance data processing and collaboration with cross-functional teams, while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full capture path from raw exchange feeds to a unified canonical model, building batch and stream pipelines for data ingestion
• Design and manage the Iceberg-over-S3 lakehouse, ensuring efficient data storage, schema evolution, and cost optimization
• Develop libraries and shared access services for data management and facilitate collaboration across research and trading teams

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade data systems and architecting data lakes/lakehouses
• Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg or similar table formats, including partitioning and schema management
• Familiarity with market data protocols and experience in normalizing data from multiple vendors
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, with knowledge of Rust as a strong plus
• Solid understanding of modern orchestration tools and distributed processing frameworks
