Job Summary
To advance market conditions for residential virtual power plants, the full-time remote Market Development Manager will research utility avoided cost methodologies, engage with policymakers, and collaborate cross-functionally to translate regulatory insights into business strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Research and analyze utility avoided cost filings to support pricing strategies for residential capacity resources
- Monitor state regulatory proceedings to identify opportunities and barriers for residential VPP market participation
- Translate regulatory findings into actionable insights for internal stakeholders across Revenue, Sales, and Business Development teams
Required qualifications
- 2-4+ years of experience in energy regulation, energy policy, or utility program design
- Demonstrated ability to connect regulatory developments to company revenue and market strategy
- Working knowledge of energy market structures and regulatory frameworks, including FERC and state PUCs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating complex policy language
- Experience working collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment
