Market Settlement Analyst

Job Summary

Working in a hybrid capacity, the contract Market Settlement Analyst will manage the timely issuance of billing statements for wholesale energy markets, ensuring accurate data reviews and calculations while developing process documentation and responding to customer inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the issuance of weekly and monthly billing statements for financial settlements in wholesale energy markets
• Perform data review and calculation processes for hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly settlements
• Gather and document requirements from business users and develop test plans for settlement applications

Required qualifications

• BS or equivalent work experience in Business, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Market Settlement Operations
• 2+ years of experience in energy or utility industries preferred
• Proven ability to produce highly accurate and audit-ready deliverables
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint)
