Martech Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the measurement layer end to end, the full-time remote Martech Engineer will manage the tag manager setup, tracking scripts, and server-to-server conversion tracking while collaborating closely with the paid marketing team to ensure accurate data and optimize tracking performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the tag manager setup and maintain the server-side GTM container while reviewing changes from other teams
• Collaborate daily with the paid marketing team to fix tracking bugs, set up tracking for new campaigns, and debug conversion discrepancies
• Build and maintain server-to-server conversion tracking and establish monitoring for the measurement stack to quickly identify issues

Required qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with experience in frontend and production application codebases
• Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager, including server-side GTM, and at least one conversion API implemented server-to-server
• Experience debugging attribution discrepancies, including pixel vs server deduplication and event schema design
• Solid understanding of web performance and adding tracking without degrading Core Web Vitals
• Working knowledge of consent and privacy requirements and SQL for validating tracking data
