Job Summary
Seeking a Maryland Licensed Administrative Law Judge, the full-time position will conduct administrative hearings and issue decisions for various cases while allowing for remote work options and occasional travel within Maryland.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare for and conduct administrative hearings in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act
- Issue written and bench decisions for a variety of administrative cases
- Ensure fair and timely hearings for individuals and businesses affected by state agency actions
Required qualifications:
- Must be a lawyer in good standing for at least five years
- Licensed to practice law in Maryland
- Strong analytical and writing skills demonstrated through a legal writing sample
- Ability to manage time effectively and conduct thorough legal research
- Interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders during hearings
