Maryland Licensed Administrative Law Judge

Job Summary

Seeking a Maryland Licensed Administrative Law Judge, the full-time position will conduct administrative hearings and issue decisions for various cases while allowing for remote work options and occasional travel within Maryland.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare for and conduct administrative hearings in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act
• Issue written and bench decisions for a variety of administrative cases
• Ensure fair and timely hearings for individuals and businesses affected by state agency actions

Required qualifications:

• Must be a lawyer in good standing for at least five years
• Licensed to practice law in Maryland
• Strong analytical and writing skills demonstrated through a legal writing sample
• Ability to manage time effectively and conduct thorough legal research
• Interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders during hearings
