Maryland Licensed Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Maryland Licensed Automation Engineer, this full-time remote position will focus on modernizing enterprise IT operations for a federal customer through automation, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code, while collaborating with a growth-oriented team.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and Ansible for consistent environment provisioning
• Design and deploy Robotic Process Automation workflows to automate repetitive tasks
• Support 24x7 operations by engineering monitoring and orchestration tools to enhance system availability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in automation and Infrastructure as Code
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash
• Proficiency in cloud environments, specifically AWS and/or Azure
• Familiarity with ITIL service management and federal security frameworks (FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP)
