Maryland Licensed Captive Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Captive Accountant to manage financials for captive insurance companies remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain monthly financials for multiple captive insurance companies
• Reconcile bank accounts and investment accounts, and prepare monthly financials in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with the preparation of 1099s, annual reports, and surplus calculations

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred)
• 2+ years of accounting experience in a relevant industry (preferred)
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and accounting software, such as QuickBooks
• Basic MS Excel skills
