Maryland Licensed Captive Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Captive Accountant responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting operations of multiple captive insurance entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain monthly financial records for several captive insurance entities
• Prepare and generate monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Coordinate premium and claim reporting between fronting carriers and third-party administrators

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in insurance or captive settings
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger functions
• Experience with financial statement preparation and reconciliation processes
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
