Job Summary

Managing complex medical malpractice claims, the full-time Maryland Licensed Claims Specialist will analyze and resolve technically difficult claims, coordinate case management, and ensure high levels of customer service while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex medical malpractice claims to determine exposure and manage claims to timely resolution
• Conducts investigations and provides reports on new claims and legal actions, while calculating and monitoring claim reserves
• Coordinates legal defense and settlement strategies, ensuring compliance with client guidelines and utilizing cost containment techniques

Required qualifications

• 6 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Licenses as required for claims management
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred
