Maryland Licensed DBQ Reviewer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a DBQ Reviewer I to collaborate with medical professionals to ensure the accuracy of medical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine complex medical exam reports for completeness and adherence to VA guidelines
• Identify and document quality issues, escalating to management as necessary
• Work closely with healthcare providers to provide feedback and assist in revising medical exam reports

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year in the medical field as a Scribe, Military Corpsman/Medic, or Certified Medical Assistant, biller/coder; OR relevant experience as a Quality Analyst in healthcare
• At least 6 months of experience conducting QA reviews of DBQs according to VA and MDE requirements
• Deep knowledge of medical terminology and quality assurance methodologies
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft tools
