Maryland Licensed Director of Finance

Job Summary

To support the financial health of the organization, the remote/hybrid Maryland Licensed Director of Finance will lead accounting operations, ensure compliance, and manage the full accounting cycle while developing a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
• Manage multi-state payroll processing and ensure timely preparation of internal and external financial reports
• Develop and maintain a robust compliance framework, monitoring regulatory changes and managing relationships with external auditors and tax advisors

Required qualifications

• Active CPA license
• Chartered Accountant / CFA / Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in large organizations
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, or Unanet
