Job Summary
To support a growing team in Bethesda, Maryland, the full-time Maryland Licensed Fire Protection Engineer will review architectural designs, conduct construction inspections, and provide technical guidance on fire protection systems in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review architectural and engineering designs and fire protection system shop drawings for over 50 buildings
- Conduct construction inspections and issue final occupancy permits
- Evaluate existing building conditions through life safety and hazard analysis surveys
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering field
- 4+ years of Fire Protection experience
- Must hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Fire Protection
- Experience supporting healthcare and/or laboratory environments, including familiarity with chemical hazards (NFPA codes 30 and 45)
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
