Maryland Licensed Human Research Compliance Associate

Job Summary

Providing regulatory and compliance advice, the full-time Maryland Licensed Human Research Compliance Associate will support the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) by interpreting laws, reviewing applications, and assisting with protocol planning in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply government regulations and institutional policies related to human subjects research
• Review IRB applications for compliance with federal and state laws, identifying necessary corrections
• Lead educational offerings for IRB staff and JHU research teams on regulatory matters

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Member of the Bar of the State of Maryland in good standing or eligible to sit for the bar exam
• Additional education may substitute for required experience as permitted by the JHU equivalency formula
