Job Summary
To ensure the achievement of departmental and health system goals, the full-time Maryland Licensed Infection Control Manager will oversee Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control (HEIC) operations, including staff management, policy development, and outbreak investigations, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the planning, implementation, and coordination of HEIC activities across the hospital and affiliated sites
- Supervise staff hiring, performance management, and training oversight while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Oversee surveillance data collection, outbreak investigations, and the development of departmental budgets
Required qualifications
- Master of Science degree in infection control, hospital epidemiology, or healthcare leadership preferred; Bachelor's degree required with enrollment in a Master's program
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required
- Minimum of four years of experience in epidemiology and infection control in an acute care setting
- Demonstrated leadership experience in infection control, preferably in roles such as Infection Control Epidemiologist III or Supervisor
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to lead organizational change in infection control practices
