Maryland Licensed Managing Attorney

Job Summary

Leading a team of attorneys, the full-time Maryland Licensed Managing Attorney will manage Liability and Workers Compensation cases for commercial insureds in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Ohio, while providing coaching and feedback on complex legal matters in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and provide leadership to a team of attorneys and paralegals across multiple offices
• Oversee the preparation and trial of moderate to high exposure cases on behalf of Zurich's insureds
• Deliver coaching and mentorship on trial advocacy and complex legal issues

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor with 10 or more years of litigation experience, including significant first chair jury trial experience
• Member in good standing of the Maryland State Bar
• Experience with Lexis and knowledge of the insurance industry and defense litigation
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage a team effectively
• Strong litigation capabilities and experience in personal injury and workers compensation claims
