Maryland Licensed Medical Biller

Job Summary

Seeking a Maryland Licensed Medical Biller, the full-time position will manage the collection of receivables from third-party and governmental payers while working onsite in Glen Burnie, MD, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Perform continual follow-up on outstanding accounts to facilitate prompt resolution or payment
• Prepare and post necessary adjustments on accounts to expedite the collection process
• Analyze payment remittances and ensure appropriate billing for denied claims

Required qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in Hospital Billing, Follow-Up, or Collections
• Strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies and commercial & government payer billing requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends in Managed Care
• Experience working with third-party contracts and payment rules
• Proficiency in personal computers and standard office equipment
