Maryland Licensed Medication Access Coordinator

Job Summary

Coordinating the prior authorization and patient assistance program processes, the full-time Maryland Licensed Medication Access Coordinator will ensure timely patient access to prescribed therapies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to gather necessary documentation for medication access
• Analyze and review prior authorization and patient assistance program requests for compliance with insurance guidelines and hospital policies
• Engage in continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy required upon hire
• CPhT certification required by the PTCB or NHA
• 2+ years of experience in pharmacy, medical billing, and/or insurance verification
