Job Summary

Coordinating the prior authorization and patient assistance program processes, the full-time Maryland Licensed Medication Access Coordinator will ensure timely access to prescribed therapies while working remotely and collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate prior authorization and patient assistance program processes for medications
• Gather necessary documentation and information from healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
• Analyze and review requests to ensure compliance with insurance guidelines and hospital policies

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy required upon hire
• CPhT certification required by the PTCB or NHA
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy, medical billing, and/or insurance verification
