Job Summary
Joining the Litigation Services team, the fully remote Maryland Licensed Paralegal will manage the litigation lifecycle for insurance defense matters, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and coordinating trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from inception through resolution, including trial, arbitration, and mediation preparation
- Draft, review, file, and serve pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents for attorney review and approval
- Prepare and manage written discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses and coordinating document production
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defense, bodily injury, or civil litigation
- Strong understanding of legal procedures, including pleadings, discovery, motions, court filings, and trial preparation
- Familiarity with Maryland litigation practices and electronic court filing systems is strongly preferred
- Experience coordinating expert witnesses, depositions, and other litigation-related activities
- Must meet all applicable paralegal certification, registration, or licensure requirements as defined by Maryland state
