Job Summary
Handling property claims telephonically, the full-time Maryland Licensed Property Adjuster will conduct investigations, evaluate coverage, and document claims while working from the nearest branch office within the Erie footprint.
Key responsibilities
- Contact policyholders to investigate property claims, conduct interviews, and prepare estimates
- Evaluate claims to determine coverage and total value, setting reserves and issuing payments as necessary
- Document claim files and submit final reports for closure, while identifying subrogation opportunities
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous claims experience is preferred
- Must obtain the appropriate state adjuster's license
- Willingness to pursue and complete Technical Learning Center Training is required
- Valid driver's license and good driving record preferred
