Job Summary
Seeking a Maryland Licensed Staff Attorney, the full-time remote position will conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and represent clients in various legal proceedings while collaborating with community partners to advance civil rights objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Perform legal research and draft legal documents, including motions and court filings
- Represent clients during FBI interrogations and assist trial attorneys with litigation tasks
- Participate in speaking engagements and lead educational sessions on civil rights issues
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Minimum of 3 years' prior associate-level experience in civil rights
- Basic knowledge of federal court practice
- No disciplinary actions on record or pending
- Understanding of civil rights issues relating to American Muslims
