Job Summary

Seeking a full-time National Commercial Underwriting Counsel, the position will manage large volumes of transaction files, apply underwriting standards, and provide guidance on real estate settlement services while working remotely from Maryland.

Key responsibilities:

• Handle large volumes of files and time-sensitive materials related to transaction matters
• Utilize underwriting standards to underwrite title insurance issuance and provide guidance on settlement services
• Offer underwriting support and counsel to company personnel, agents, and clients regarding title insurance commitments and policies

Required qualifications:

• Juris Doctor and active member of a State Bar
• 10+ years of experience as Commercial Underwriting Counsel
• Knowledge of the title insurance industry, including products, policies, and endorsements
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents
• Proficient in various computer software systems, including Microsoft Office
