Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Financial Counselor in Quincy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist low-income, uninsured, and underinsured patients in applying for financial assistance and securing healthcare coverage
• Manage patient inquiries and documentation related to health insurance applications and eligibility
• Educate patients about health insurance options and maintain accurate records of patient interactions and applications

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma with 3-5 years of customer service experience in healthcare or human services; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must complete MassHealth's curriculum for Certified Application Counselor and maintain certification annually
• 2-3 years of strong customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Bilingual candidates and those with hospital or healthcare experience are strongly preferred
• Strong technical skills and proficiency in using Epic and external database systems
