Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Application Counselor.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist low-income, uninsured, and underinsured patients in applying for financial assistance programs and healthcare coverage
• Engage patients to determine eligibility and provide enrollment assistance for various insurance options
• Document patient interactions, maintain financial trackers, and ensure compliance with billing and collection practices

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma with 3-5 years of strong customer service experience in healthcare or human services setting required
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• Must complete MassHealth's curriculum for Certified Application Counselor and maintain certification renewal annually
• 2-3 years of strong customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or human services setting
• Bilingual persons and those with hospital and/or healthcare experience strongly preferred
