Job Summary

Seeking a Massachusetts Certified Recovery Coach, the full-time or part-time App Moderator will engage members in a virtual peer support app, facilitating discussions, managing group chats, and ensuring a safe environment for users while working remotely during evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Moderate app chats and forums, initiating discussions and ensuring adherence to community guidelines
• Welcome and support new members, managing their engagement and addressing any issues that arise
• Document member interactions and monitor crisis situations, coordinating with the peer support team as needed

Required qualifications

• Completion of relevant training courses as a Peer Specialist or Recovery Coach in substance use disorder or mental health recovery, with a preference for Massachusetts certification
• Reliable internet access in a private space, with provided equipment for job completion
• Ability to document member engagements electronically and operate necessary software tools
• Willingness to share personal lived experiences related to mental health and/or substance use conditions
• Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed
