Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the remote Massachusetts Licensed Associate General Counsel will manage payor contracting functions, including negotiating Medicare Advantage agreements, drafting and reviewing contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Support end-to-end negotiation of Medicare Advantage risk agreements and draft, review, and maintain payor contract templates
- Assist in coordinating with Finance and other stakeholders to align negotiated financial terms with approved models and support contract interpretation and management
- Research legal developments affecting contractual arrangements and provide practical guidance to enable informed business decisions
Required qualifications
- At least 5 years of relevant transactional legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Experience with healthcare payor contracting or value-based care arrangements
- Foundational knowledge of Value-Based Care, Medicare Advantage Organizations, and healthcare fraud and abuse laws
- Active license and good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Ability to draft and negotiate agreements and work effectively across functions in a matrixed organization
