Job Summary

A company is looking for a Behavioral Health Specialist to support the intake and coordination of behavioral health authorization and inpatient admission requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize incoming behavioral health authorization and inpatient admission requests
• Accurately verify member eligibility and enter clinical and administrative data into authorization systems
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain and clarify required clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in healthcare, nursing, social work, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least two years of experience in a high-volume healthcare or customer service environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and high request volumes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with healthcare systems or databases such as utilization management or authorization platforms
