Job Summary
To enhance clinical documentation integrity, the remote Massachusetts Licensed CDI Reconciler will independently evaluate complex clinical documentation and coding issues, resolve discrepancies, and provide expert recommendations while collaborating with various healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Independently perform retrospective reconciliation of complex CDI reviews and final coded records, determining appropriate outcomes and communicating recommendations
- Interpret and apply official coding guidelines and regulatory requirements to complex clinical scenarios requiring independent analysis
- Collaborate with CDI specialists, coding professionals, and physician advisors to resolve documentation and coding discrepancies
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related healthcare field (nursing, medical billing and coding, healthcare administration)
- Five years of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) experience in an acute care setting or as an inpatient medical coder
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential
