Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Counsel responsible for managing and resolving high-severity, complex insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage and exclusions
• Manage the investigation and resolution of high-exposure and technically complex claims
• Evaluate and make settlement recommendations, negotiating within authority limits

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership in good standing or equivalent experience
• Relevant certifications (e.g., claims adjuster licenses) and willingness to obtain additional licenses
• Demonstrated expertise in insurance coverage analysis and policy interpretation
• Experience issuing or advising on coverage positions, including reservations of rights and denials
• Strong understanding of liability, damages, and litigation strategy
