Job Summary
To support clinical pharmacy services, the full-time Massachusetts Licensed Consultant Pharmacist will manage drug utilization review and medication management therapy programs, coordinate prior authorization processes, and provide training to pharmacy staff in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinates the request for prior authorization process, ensuring compliance with federal time limits
- Provides orientation and training to Consultant Pharmacists and Pharmacy Associates
- Participates in the development of clinical drug use criteria and conducts medication therapy management reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy with 3 years of experience, or Doctor of Pharmacy degree with relevant experience or residency completion
- Eligibility for licensure or current pharmacist license in good standing in Massachusetts
- Ability to travel to off-site locations
