Massachusetts Licensed Corporate Counsel
Job Summary
To support a growing legal department, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Corporate Counsel will draft, review, and negotiate various agreements while advising cross-functional teams on compliance and legal matters in a primarily remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, including confidentiality and clinical trial agreements
- Collaborate with commercial, medical affairs, and research teams to provide business-focused legal advice
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, advising on legal matters affecting company arrangements
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 5-7 years of legal experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, preferably in an in-house legal department
- Broad experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements related to research and development
- Experience supporting commercial and/or medical affairs in biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies preferred
- Familiarity with laws governing clinical research, drug development, and data privacy preferred
