Job Summary
To oversee the Counseling Center's operations, the full-time Massachusetts Licensed Counseling Director will manage staff, develop policies and programs, and provide direct clinical services while ensuring a comprehensive range of mental health support for students in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the Counseling Center, including hiring staff, developing policies, and overseeing the annual budget
- Deliver individual therapy, crisis intervention, and psycho-educational programming while maintaining compliance with clinical best practices
- Consult with faculty and staff on student mental health issues and coordinate outreach programs to promote well-being on campus
Required qualifications
- Master's degree required; doctoral or advanced degree preferred in counseling-related fields
- Current professional licensure in Massachusetts (LMHC, LICSW, or psychology) with a minimum of five years as a licensed provider
- Three to five years of clinical experience, including administrative and supervisory roles, particularly in a college/university setting
- Experience with a diverse range of mental health and substance abuse issues in young adults
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations effectively
