Job Summary

A company is looking for an Overdose Helpline Operator, General Internal Medicine (per diem).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls from individuals seeking assistance and provide immediate guidance on overdose recognition and response
• Connect callers with relevant local resources and collaborate with emergency responders for effective intervention
• Document call interactions and stay updated on best practices related to overdose prevention and crisis management

Required Qualifications

• Relevant lived experience with overdose, harm reduction, or substance use preferred
• Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations with empathy and professionalism
• Strong commitment to treating all callers with empathy and respect
• Comfortable using helpline software and digital communication platforms
• Strict adherence to confidentiality policies regarding caller information
