Job Summary

Providing critical support to individuals at risk of overdose, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator will manage incoming calls using a harm reduction framework while engaging with diverse callers in a compassionate manner.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and respond to incoming hotline calls, offering support and resources to callers
• Utilize a harm reduction approach to engage in meaningful conversations with individuals actively using drugs
• Maintain monthly call requirements to stay active on the hotline team

Required qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator certification
• Experience in crisis intervention or addiction support services
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Calm demeanor in potentially challenging situations
• Strong dedication to saving lives through compassionate actions
