Job Summary

Providing critical support as the frontline point of contact, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator will manage incoming calls using a harm reduction framework, engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences while promoting compassionate actions to save lives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and respond to incoming hotline calls, utilizing a harm reduction approach
• Engage callers in meaningful conversations, providing support and resources related to drug use and addiction
• Maintain monthly call requirements to remain active on the hotline team

Required qualifications

• Massachusetts Licensed Hotline Operator certification
• Experience in a support role dealing with individuals in crisis or with substance use issues
• Strong communication skills and a calm demeanor in challenging situations
• Dedication to harm reduction and saving lives through compassionate interactions
• Ability to work part-time and manage flexible hours in a remote setting
